‘Lights Over Liskeard’ is Louis de Bernieres’ latest novel. Unusually for him, it is set in the near future and is set on Bodmin Moor, where a man has bought a ruined farmhouse as a safe place for his family to live when our electronic control systems fail. It is not really science fiction, however it is about relationships, and the different kinds of love, as his novels always are. (Talk and Q+A)
