Footpaths
Mrs. Walton has collected 10 completed user evidence forms for the footpath known as Rice’s Lane and is expecting another 10 to come in. These will be delivered to NCC in an effort to get the footpath marked as a public right of way on the NCC definitive map.
EDP Tokens for the community
Our last application was again unfortunately not successful. It was suggested that with our next application we submit these with a letter on Alburgh parish council headed paper.
Update on how Litter Pick went
The Litter Pick went really well. SNC came and collected all our litter and took their equipment.
Queen Elizabeth’s Birthday Celebrations
This will be taking place at Alburgh Village hall starting at 2pm on Saturday, 11th June 2016. Lots of events have been organised. The proposed timeline for events is advertised in the village magazine.
War Memorial
This will go on the agenda next month.
Playing Field
Mrs. Walton did inspection. All was in good order.
Areas under the play equipment need strimming where the mower can not get. It would be good if this could be done in the week leading up to the Queen Elizabeth’s Birthday Celebrations.
Bark is needed for the millennium garden and for the playing field, especially under the swings.
Mrs. Gladden-Fenn has contacted Simons Landscaping for a quote on supplying bark. Their price was £75.00 for one bag and then £45.00 for second bag. Clerk to ask SNC and the playing fields association if we need a regulation bark for the playing field? This will be discussed further at next meeting.
It was agreed to put the picnic table which has been bought in memory of Mr. Denny’s two sons opposite the service line on the tennis court. This will need a concrete base which Mr. Denny will organise.
