Update on Matters arising from previous minutes
With regard to the plainings on School Road. Clerk has contacted Margaret Somerville and Bob Edwards. To date no reply has been received as Bob Edwards has been on holiday so clerk will chase again when he is back.
Access for wheel chairs to Millennium Garden. Mrs. Walton and Mr. Denny have looked in to this. The products they have found are quite expensive and seem quite labour intensive. Mrs. Goose will speak to the wheelchair user who brought the difficult access to our attention and ask them if they can use their wheelchair on the grass, so we can ascertain if it is just the entrance we may need to address.
Broken bench on corner of Church Road – Clerk has obtained two quotes and Mr. Denny has obtained a quotation from Clarkes of Walsham. It was felt that the bench from Clarkes would be the better choice as it is better quality and would last longer. The cost of one bench is £210.12. Mr. Denny will order two benches. The benches need to be treated before use and Mr. Denny will get this as well.
Correspondence – None
Film Night
Mr. Denny has organised a demonstration of the cinema equipment to be held on the 12th June at 10.00am.
Mr. Renaut has organised the insurance of the equipment which has been added to the village hall insurance. The cost to us for this is £69.58.

Footpaths
Due to Bob Edwards being on holiday no update has been received. Clerk to chase again when he is back.
Footpath Map
The clerk has contacted SNC about replacing the footpath map. SNC say that they cannot find any previous record of the district council supplying these maps and suggest that we may have to purchase this from Ordnance Survey. The replacement of the Perspex is also our responsibility.
Discussions on how to replace this and the best way forward. Mrs. Walton asked parish councillors to think about this and report back at next meeting.
Playing Field
Mrs. Beckett did inspection. All was in good order.
Norse have now cut the grass. They have also strimmed all around as well.
Mr. Denny has spoken to John Whitton who will be pleased to carry on strimming but unfortunately is not well enough to cut the hedges. It was agreed that we need to get prices for hedge cutting – Mr. Denny will ask Chris Thomas for a price, Mrs. Gladden-Fenn will ask S & A Services and Mrs. Beckett will let the clerk know who the contractor is who for the church yard.
