Film Night
The last film night was again a success. The film ‘Mr. Turner’ was subsidised as a special offer.
With regard to the new equipment, there are one or two things which are not quite right and also the dvd needs replacing. The rack needs a little light in it and needs a shelf put in. When they were fitting the projector they did not wire it as we thought they were going to and we will have to pay to have it put right. Mr. Denny will check with the village hall committee about this. 4 members of Saffron are coming to the next film night on the 17th April. Richard Gedge has made a small short film showing the sponsors, etc. It was agreed that the Saffron people would have free entry.
The new Equipment needs to be insured – Mr. Renaut has enquired from village hall committee insurance company Mr. Denny proposed that the parish council should pay the village hall for the equipment insurance. All were in agreement with this.
Footpaths
Dinah Beckett has looked at 2 footpaths which run from Burntoak Lane to the back of The Street. Pat has checked Vinegar Lane which is ok. Hugh Goose has cleared a bush down next to

Kings Acre. Broad Road down to Pied Bridge has been cleared by Richard and Jill Gedge. Daphny Gladden-Fenn walked Pied Bridge to Mill Road and this is ok. Ruth will walk the one from Station Road she did a month ago and report back to clerk.
Speed Awareness Monitor
We have received a letter from NCC advising us that our bid for a VAS sign has been successful and will be funded up to 50%. Roy Payne from Westcotec, is coming out on Thursday the 9th April at 11.00am, to meet and discuss the new sign.
Litter Pick
The Litter Pick has been organised for Saturday, 25th April at 2.00pm. Unfortunately, David Denny and Ruth Walton will not be able to attend. Dinah Beckett and Pat Goose offered to organise volunteers for the day. Ruth Walton offered to go and collect the equipment. David seemed to recall that last year they delivered the equipment – Clerk to check whether they would do this again this year.
Playing Field
Pat Goose did inspection. All equipment was in good order.
Dog Fouling bags were found in the bins one week – Pat has put signs up.
No further news on the swings as yet.

All Saints Church, Alburgh – Update
Mr. Donno has written to Mrs. Walton with an update on repairs to the Church. He has engaged the services of Adrian Smith to maintain the church yard. They have agreed the figure of £600 yearly for maintenance of the paths and graveyards. He will charge an additional £200 to carry out the annual conservation grass cutting and clearing. This is an increase of £150.00 over the funding which the parish council normally gives. All were in agreement to increase our donation to £800.00, to be paid from the Alburgh parish land account.
